When arriving as a tourist in Cagayan de Oro,  you will probably be advised to visit several places and try exciting and adrenaline rush activity such as the white water rafting, traversing the Cagayan de Oro River.

In the mid 80’s and mid 90’s, Cagayanons started rafting in the river. This was done with inflated interior tire tubes, raft made of bamboo and banana trunks.

As soon as this attraction were developed, this became the most popular adventure activity in CDO.

White Water Rafting allows people to see the very nice scenery of the Cagayan River. Most Cagayan de Oro rafting companies designate the group according to their choice of location. The rafting mostly starts in Barangay Dansolihon which is about 20 kilometers from the City center. From the starting point, tourist will passed by the different scenic spots of the oldest church in the city, the SEARSOLIN/MANRESSA (an agricultural area developed by the students), the cleanest and safest Lumbia Airport and the well known Macahambus Cave which was used by the Filipino Soldier way back World War II. Tourists can expect to breathe a fresh air and see a clear water from starting to end point.
